- From 11 August 2021 onwards, if you take out or upgrade/migrate to a new Pay monthly plan without inclusive European roaming, there will be a daily charge for roaming in our European Roaming Zone (Zones A/B). Roaming charges start on 6 January 2022, from £1 per day.
What is the Vodafone IMSI?
- Your own customer identifier (IMSI) is used in your home country and where you have own roaming agreements. In destinations where you don't have coverage, the SIM automatically uses the Vodafone IMSI and identifies your roamers as Vodafone customers. Usually, there is no SIM card swap or giving out a new phone number.
Will there be any changes to roaming charges for existing customers?
- There will be no changes to roaming for existing customers who joined Vodafone before 11 August 2021.We have outlined the changes to our plans below, which will affect customers who join Vodafone or upgrade on or after 11 August 2021. We won't apply these new charges until January 2022.
