- Your lenses have to be ground from scratch, and Zeiss, or Hoya, or Seiko or Pentax don't supply blanks for that. They just do stock lenses and progressives. You definitely want 1.67 with a good anti reflection coating, but as far as the lens quality goes, they are all the same in single vision.
