L'Autorità Garante per l'Energia, il Gas e il Sistema Idrico (AEEGSI, dal 2018 ARERA) ha stabilito che il prezzo di un metro cubo di gas metano sia diverso da regione a regione e compreso fra 0,85 centesimi di euro e 1,20 euro.
