La stomia è un'apertura creata chirurgicamente sull'addome per consentire la fuoriuscita degli effluenti nel caso in cui, a causa di un tumore, di una malattia infiammatoria cronica intestinale o un trauma, sia stato necessario rimuovere un tratto di intestino o dell'apparato urinario.
