Is La Thuile a good resort for snowboarding?
- Just returned from a week snowboarding in La Thuile and had a great time. The resort was way less crowded than most euro resorts, and we didn't see a queue all week. There are plenty of great runs, suitable for a mix of abilities, ranging from wide empty blue runs, to steeper reds and tree runs down into the town.
What is the difference between La Rosiere and La Thuile?
- La Thuile's ski area is surprisingly quiet during the week, offering uncrowded pistes, minimal queuing and far reaching mountain views including Mont Blanc, Monterosa and Cervino (the Matterhorn). The slopes in La Thuile mostly face north and north east whilst those in La Rosiere predominantly face South.
What type of lift system does La Thuile have?
- The La Thuile lift system is modern and most of the main runs are served by high speed lifts and all of the 'Express' lifts are high speed chairlifts covering longer distances. Just a few older lifts remain on the La Thuile side of the domain, all on the least critical ascents.
